What we collect

Standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, requested page, timestamp), kept for security and troubleshooting. If Google Analytics is enabled on this site it sets cookies to measure aggregate traffic; you can opt out with Google’s browser add-on. We also store your filter selections in your browser’s sessionStorage so that returning from a unit’s page keeps your filters — that never leaves your device and is cleared when you close the tab.

We do not ask for, or store, accounts, names or email addresses.

thermalranker is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, thermalranker earns from qualifying purchases.

When you follow a link to a retailer, that retailer may set a cookie that attributes a later purchase to us. This costs you nothing extra. Commissions never affect our rankings or which units we include — our orderings are computed from specifications, not chosen by hand.

Third-party links

We link to manufacturers, retailers and reference sources. Once you leave this site their privacy policies apply, not ours.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
