02Pros and cons

From the published specs, not owner reports.

For it
  • 640×480 sensor, 2.8× the detail of an entry-level 384
  • Smooth 60 Hz picture on a running animal
  • Takes CR123 batteries you can swap in the field
Against it
  • Sensitivity (NETD) not published
  • Only 4 h of battery
  • Short 24 mm lens: a wide view, but less reach than a 50 mm scope
  • No rangefinder, so you judge distance by eye
  • ~$7,209, well above the ~$3,000 typical for riflescopes here
  • Zoom past 1.2× is digital and gets blurry
