02Pros and cons
From the published specs, not owner reports.
For it
- High-resolution 1280×1024 sensor, 4× the detail of the common 640×512
- Sensitive sensor that picks out small heat differences on humid or rainy nights (the best of 285 that publish it)
- Built-in laser rangefinder that feeds the ballistic calculator
- Swappable battery pack, so a spare doubles the run time
- Waterproof (IP67), survives a dunking
- Records video and connects to a phone app
- Warranty: 5 years
Against it
- Heavy at 45.9 oz, 13th-heaviest of the 194 riflescopes here
- ~$5,599, well above the ~$3,000 typical for riflescopes here
- Zoom past 2× is digital and gets blurry
